Excursion Trains

This SPECIAL DINNER and EXCURSION TRAIN are sponsored by THRA. All profits will go:

Schedule

5:30 Check-in, Social Hour, and Music at Railtown 1897 Picnic Grounds

• Passengers will pick up dinner tickets and train tickets
• Water and soft drinks will be provided; a Cash Bar will be available for beer and wine
• Music by the Black Irish Band
• THRA information and merchandise sales available

6:30 Buffet Dinner served at Railtown 1897 Picnic Grounds

• Choice of entrees, salad, side, and dessert (child tickets also get full adult meal)
• Music by the Black Irish Band
• Non-alcoholic beverages will be provided; a Cash Bar will be available for beer and wine

7:30 Train departs Jamestown Depot

• Historic Sierra Steam Loco #3 pulls the train. EXTRA MILEAGE: the train will travel more than twice the normal excursion mileage, including going about a half mile above Railtown toward Sonora – get a bird’s eye view of Railtown from the train!
• Seating will be available on open-air car #599, coach #14, and caboose #7. All seating is open – i.e., first come first served. Train returns to Jamestown Depot at approximately 9:00 pm
• Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks from the beer and wine bar at the picnic grounds may be taken on to the train, but will not be available onboard.
